Cast resin dry type transformers replace transformer oil with a vacuum cast epoxy resin insulation system. There is no liquid to leak or burn, so the unit can be installed inside a building, close to the load, without an oil containment pit or fire wall.

Can a dry type transformer be installed indoors?
Yes, that is the main advantage. Because there is no flammable oil, a cast resin dry type transformer can be installed inside a building without an oil pit, fire wall or blast protection.
What is the temperature rise limit?
Standard designs are limited to 115 °C temperature rise with Class H insulation, and the final figure depends on the insulation class and cooling method selected.
Do dry type transformers need maintenance?
Very little. There is no oil to test or replace. Periodic cleaning of the coil surfaces and cooling ducts to remove dust is normally all that is required.
What is the lead time?
Standard dry type ratings are usually ready for dispatch within 25 to 35 days. Custom enclosures and higher protection degrees may extend the schedule, which we confirm with the quotation.
